My favorite time of year is just around the corner – fall TV lineup. And TV Guide Network has the top thirteen most promising shows all lined up for us!
I’m excited. Aren’t you?
But, of course, rather than go through entire heavy duty list with you, I’d like to present to you or top five of their top thirteen television picks for this fall.
The Carrie Diaries (CW)
This was TV Guide’s number three pick and as an eternal fan of Sex and the City I admit that I am really looking forward to this one. TV Guide consider’s it worth watching because of the Sex and the City writer Amy Harris, plus how can we resist a rekindling relationship with the shoe-lover we all adore?
The Selection (CW)
Okay it looks like CW is in the running this season. My second pick for the fall season is The Selection – a Hunger Games inspired choice where a girl competes to be the Queen for this show set 300 years in the future. I put this on the list because it might inspire upset among Hunger Games’ fans everywhere and I just can’t wait to see how all of this plays out.
Untitled Mindy Kaling Project (Fox)
I love the single gal approach that this new show takes on (Bridget Jones anyone?) and Mindy Kaling from The Office will play a girl struggling to keep her life in order while trying to overcome the tragedy of singledom. Can anyone else relate?
Nashville (ABC)
I confess – I am secretly in love with cowboys. I love them and their music. So of course I will be watching this brand new show set in country music’s meca – Nashvilla, TN about two musicians on their journey to stardom, one a bit closer than another.
Elementary (CBS)
Okay this show is on the list because it stars Lucy Liu and I just love that actress! The show revolves around the a modern spin on Sherlock Holmes where Sherlock is a recovering addict working as a consultant for the NYPD and Watson (Liu) plays his “distaff.” (which apparently means the feminine side of the family. Ooo-kay.)
So check out this list and tell us what you are looking forward to the most this fall season?
