TV Land Awards: Cosby Show, Family Ties
Man, this was when television shows were freakin’ amazing. How could you not love the Huxtables or Alex P. Keaton?
Well TV Land knows their shiznit. It was just announced that the TV Land Awards (9th annual) will honor Bill Cosby and the entire cast of The Cosby Show and Michael J. Fox and the cast of Family Ties in April of 2011!
Larry W. Jones of TVLand stated, “New York City is the world’s biggest stage and the backdrop to many iconic television shows. It is the perfect spot to celebrate this fun and spectacular evening honoring some of the greatest names in TV, film and music.”
He adds, “The Cosby Show” will receive The Impact Award at this year’s show. This award is presented to a show that offered both entertainment and enlightenment, with comedy that reflected reality. Bill Cosby, Phylicia Rashad, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Sabrina Le Beauf, Tempestt Bledsoe, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Raven Symone and Lisa Bonet will all be in attendance. The Fan Favorite Award is being presented to the cast of “Family Ties.”
This should be a pretty saweet evening!
