Now heading into its fifth season, the television show ‘Hot in Cleveland‘ has led to a resurgence of sorts in female comedy and female comedians. One of the stars of the show, Betty White, has been called one of the early female comedians on television, and so it is only fitting that some of the grand dames of the sitcom genre are reuniting on the show this season.
Fueling a few weeks of speculation, it has now been confirmed that Valerie Harper, who has only recently been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, will be appearing on the show alongside legends Cloris Leachman and Mary Tyler Moore. This episode will mark the first time that these women have graced the stage together since 1977, when ‘The Mary Tyler Moore Show‘ aired its season finale.
