You can watch Whitney Houston’s funeral live online tomorrow February 18th, 2012 at 12:00am EST, which is set to take place at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey church where Whitney grew up.
Whitney’s publicist announced that the services will be an intimate setting, seating about 1,500 people including only a dozen or so confirmed celebrities have been invited to.
Pastor Marvin Winans (yes from the musical Winans family) will deliver the eulogy. Winans also officiated Whitney and Bobby Brown’s wedding back in 1992.
Winans confirmed that there would not be a public memorial for Whitney because the family didn’t “want to have a parade.” He continued, “I don’t think knowing Cissy (Houston’s mother) and the Houston family … it was a matter of public or private as it was this is my daughter, this is my sister, this is my mother, this is my friend and we want to do this with dignity.”
Aretha Franklin is set to sing at the funeral while other celebrity guests to bid farewell to their friend include: Chaka Khan, Bebe & CeCe Winans, songwriter Diane Warren, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, Antonio “L.A.” Reid, Ray J and Brandy, pop singer Darlene Love and Bishop T.D. Jakes. Also rumored to be there are Elton John, Beyonce and rapper Jay-Z, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Cosby, Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys and Kevin Costner.
