Weird Al is still, well, weird. And genius. After receiving permission from Lady Gaga in April to do a cover of the eccentric star’s “Born This Way”, we finally get to see Weird Al’s video masterpiece.

You’ve gotta give props to Weird Al. He has made a career out of mocking celebrities. But he isn’t completely rude. He does his mocking with “care”.
Believe it or not, Yankovic’s “Perform This Way” wouldn’t have been possible without the Internet, so says Al.
He had already created the spoof of Gaga’s “Born This Way”, but rumor had it that Gaga was not going to be able to share his creation with the world. It was when Al took to the Internet to express his disappointment 24 hours later that Gaga’s camp approved the video.
In an exclusive interview with Wired.com, Yankovic said that “Twitter saved my album. It was just an amazing turn of events…. The by-product was that people found I was doing the song and doing an album.”
His new album Alpocalypse comes out on Tuesday and features his cover of “Born This Way” along with some other pretty effing fab material. From Gaga’s “Poker Face” dubbed “Polka Face” to Miley’s “Party in the U.S.A.” called “Party in the C.I.A.”, this album is highly anticipated considering Al hasn’t had a full-length album since 2006!
All I’ve gotta say is, the man is a creative mastermind.
