While Amy Winehouse may have been stirring up a little trouble and agony for other visitors on her vacation in St. Lucia, it hasn’t all been smeared makeup and drunken off-key piano solos. In fact, Amy is considered a….wait for it…a heroine. No, not the drug heroin. HEROINE…with an “E”. I know you are probably like “whhhhhaaaaa??!!!”, but no seriously…Amy Winehouse saved a woman’s life. Imagine that! Here’s how it went down:
Louise Williams, a thirty-nine-year old female was enjoying a lovely sailing lesson in the Caribbean waters when bam….a 6 foot wave threw her out of her boat. When Louise hit the rocks near where Amy was basking in the sun, Amy automatically took action…Baywatch style, sans David Hasselhoff.
While Louise screamed in agony as she lay at the water’s edge, Wino then rescued Miss L from being pulled back into the water. Sounds like a scene straight outta “Baywatch”. Can’t you just see Wino running in slow-motion now….her curls bouncing on her shoulders and her stick legs running like the wind? Wow. Inspiring. Wino helped up her new friend Louise and guided her to a beach shower, where the singer cleaned her cut back. Awww….
Louise tells her horrifying experience and gives great kudos to the whacked out crackie from Camden, “A six-foot wave caught the boat and I went flying and hit a rock. Amy was on the beach 20 metres away and she ran across immediately and said, ‘Let’s have a look at you.’ She picked me up and took me across to the showers and was constantly asking, ‘Are you all right?’”
What a brave, brave woman, that Wino. Now if she could only save herself, we would really be proud!
