Have any of you heard of Fred Figglehorn? Kind of a freaky last name, but this is no time to hate! (Ok, so we admit it’s not his REAL name, but an interesting alias, to say the least.) This lonely little six-year-old is THE biggest YouTube sensation as of late. For those not familiar with Fred, he began posting back in 2005 using his mama’s video camera to post vids to YouTube. Impressing enough is the fact that HIS videos have been watched nearly 400 million times, resulting in a huge following and now a Fred movie and a Christmas album! Read more after the jump.

Fred’s Christmas album, It’s Hackin’ Christmas, is available now and includes new versions of “The 12 Days of Christmas” and “Jingle Bells” and the Fred originals “Christmas Cash” and “Christmas is Creepy.”

About Fred/Lucas:
“Lucas Cruikshank is a high school student who has come to international attention as the creator of the wildly popular YouTube series, FRED. As the number one subscribed site in YouTube history with over 303 million views and over 1.3 million subscribers, FRED has launched sixteen year-old Cruikshank into super stardom with a world-wide fan base.

Born August 29, 1993 in rural Nebraska, Lucas is the fourth child of eight. Lucas was encouraged by his parents to explore his talent for entertainment from a very young age through music and dance lessons but didn’t see how his dreams would be realized in their small farm town. That is until he was given a video camera for his 13th birthday and soon after created the character FRED.

The idea for FRED began as a parody of Lucas’ two younger brothers. The fictional character’s hard-knock life is based on purely imagined events of a not so typical 6 year old. Lucas writes, directs and performs all the characters in FRED, except the neighborhood animals, they appear as themselves. FRED’s humorous dialogue is quoted by kids throughout the world and immortalized on FRED merchandise at retail shops throughout North America.

Lucas’ hard work and loyal following have not gone unnoticed. Recent television credits include a guest star appearance on iCarly in the episode “iMeet Fred” and in an upcoming episode of Hannah Montana. Hollywood has also taken notice of Lucas’ unique comic talents and cast him as the lead in the much-anticipated film, Emo Boy, for Vanguard Films based on the successful comic series.

In August of 2009, Lucas took top honors as Favorite Web Star at The Teen Choice Awards as Fred Figglehorn, beating out Ashton Kutcher, Will Ferrell, Perez Hilton and Andy Samberg . He also appeared in the broadcast singing a duet with none other than Miley Cyrus!

In November of 2009, Lucas will be starting production on the “FRED” movie with Family Guy writer David Goodman, director Clay Weiner and producer Brian Robbins partnering with Lucas and the team at The Collective/Salient Media. Lucas will also be releasing his first CD on November 10, 2009 called “It’s Hackin’ Christmas”, which will be released by Salient Media.”
